Hi,

I became the proud owner of a lovely silver 1993 E280 yesterday. Unfortunately it has a problem when the engine is cold: When stopping at lights the engine wants to die and sometimes does. Most annoyingly, it always dies on light acceleration from a standstill, although it will take off with lots of throttle. The previous owner was advised that the lambda sensor might need replacing, and some posts in these boards point to a faulty OVP relay.

Can anyone help?

Many thanks in advance!!

Bob

Sounds like a classic OVP relay problem.

Had similar problems on my 1993 E280. Replaced the OVP at a cost of @ £45 and it cured the problems straight away.

Cheers
