1993 merc 280E

1993 merc 280E car does not start no power at feulpump i put in a new rely still no power. What could be wrong?

Still sounds like the fuel relay ?
1.Turn on the ign --listen underneath at back you sould hear it running ?
if yes turn engine over ----
if not --2. Bridge the terminals on the fuel relay and repeat.
If it sill does not start take out a plug see if its wet-?
