1996 Mercedes E320 Elegance Face Lift

Hi Guys.
Im new to this forum so please dont flame me if ive posted in the wrong section but this seemed the best one to me.
I have a 1996 E320 and was wanting to make it look a little newer by fitting the newer style bumpers onto it. i think its a post 2001? bumper im looking at fitting.
My question is...is this a simple bolt on job or is it more difficult to upgrade the bumpers to the new sort?

this would involve a new bonnet as shape is different on facelift to match where bonet meets bumper i believe
