1997 - C200 Central Locking - Given up the ghost

I am having trouble with my central locking. I accidentally drove for 20 mins with my door slightly open on the safety catch. Ever since then the central locking has not worked. The symptoms are:

The alarm still functions

The remote window shutting/opening still functions, so the remote is still working.

The internal boot release does not work.

I have changed the central locking control unit, but I still have the same problem. Before I start tearing off all the door panals does anyone  have any ideas. Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks.

1997 - C200 Central Locking

had a problem on my c200-97,the c/locking failed suddenly,the culprit was a vacuum pipe which came off in the fuel filler cap actuator.

can you hear the central locking pump motor working when you try to shut the doors with your remote?
check it out-if yes,then vacuum pipe has come off somewhere in the circuit.,if not,then why not?
