you will have to join the other forum to see the how to. i was lucky and got 2nd hand covers and bumper lowers aswell as the guy was fitting an AMG kit. very expensive otherwise!!

of course you could just paint your existing stuff. it wont look the same though. You need to do the bumper lowers aswell for the mod to look correct & also change the wing mirrors for oens with indicators in them. depends on how far you wish to go. painting your existing stuff is the cheapest alternative, but remember the skirts and the bumper lowers are slightly different shapes and you can tell the difference

i didnt realise they where that different, my main reason for wanting to paint it is that to me the black seems like like its unfinished, it looks cheap, not what i would expect from mercedes.

Silver saloon, i just joined the other forum, your articles are very helpful, thank you. Did you change the rubber below the door? My car is a sort of lavender colour (quartz blue, i think) if this rubber is left black i think it will stand out like a sore thumb and i dont think i could paint it without it flaking off.

no i left that - didnt realise that a facelift car didnt have the rubber? mine was a dark blue though so hardly noticable.

There is black rubber between the skirt and the body (to sort of finish/seal it) - the part at the lower of the door wouldnt look out of place as it would be a sort of continuation of that.

EDIT: proper facelift does still have the rubber strip:
