1997 SL320 - First Aid Kit

Greetings All

Am in Canada and in 1997 there wasn't the requirement for a First Aid Kit in my car. However, I do want to install a kit from that era but have a horrid time getting a part number.

Was wondering if any of the 1997 SL owners had a part number for the first aid kit that came with their car.

Thanks

Hi Arctic--not sure of the part numbers as first aid kits are always being renewed (they have a date life)--plenty of MB ones are advertised on Ebay though ? It is more importand to go on a size to fit the compartment than the number.
That Canada ---sure is a scary place though -I have seen the programs on TV --Ice truckers --Logging out in the wild -Fishing for spider crabs ---no first aid kits either ?

Canada - a country where men are men, and even the bears are nervous! ;)

I guess from the authenticity point of view, the type of container you use should be contemporary, if you can find one. I think it is carried in the well to the left of the boot space, so size and fitting are not as critical as for those kits fitted in the parcel shelf of other models.

The ingredients might be more current, and I suspect there will be lots of suggestions on the interweb of what a "first aid kit" should contain/consist of.

I would not mind betting that scarce few of these kits are ever opened, or used though, but it is a nice touch.

The pocket and holding net on mine holds one those fat Distiller's Reserve malt bottles very nice and snug, and not bouncing around with the w/e groceries on the way home.
