Hi folks,

Thanks for the advice on the car so far you were spot on. Mechanically the car is going better than ever and I'm finding it easier on fuel too!!!

I've noticed at the weekend the front windows are sticking when I try to put them up and the rear drivers window doesn't work. Any ideas on how I can get at these switches. I've been told they are ALL connected on the one circuit and I need to get the part number to order a new one (second hand) if I can get it ;)

Anyone got pictures on a step by step approach on how to do this and thanks again for taking the time to read this and any feedback.

Get some silicone spray and lube the edges of the door frame. Also take a razor blade to the algae that builds up along the door seals.

Getting to the switches is very easy. Remove the cupholder/oddment tray from behind the gear lever. Put your fingers under the big panel that holds the switches, and pull up sharply. It will clip out easily. The wiring is held in place with simple plastic clamps that you can unplug easily.

If you need access to the door card, there are tutorial vids on Youtube that explain how to remove the door card.

Hi P.O.D.,

You were right. Little bit of silicone spray and I have 3 windows working a treat. Just the rear drivers not working. Thought it might be a fuse but the manual says both rear windows are on the same fuse. A little more digging around to figure this one out... I'm hoping a bad connection.

Thanks again.

I understand that there may be some soldered connection that could be dry joined

Thanks Television. Looks like I'm going to be kept away from my Tellly this weekend. Just need to make sure the wife keeps me up to speed with the ruby scores and feeds me tea and jaffa cakes :)) Any cures for soldered fingers? :) I've been told a little dance and lot of cursing works. I'll let you know. ;)
