Can anyone please help. The release mechanisim for the boot lid has stopped working. The key will not work in the lock. Can anyone tell me how to get into the boot to open it?

try spraying wd40 into the lock. they seize due to lack of use. takes a while and many sprays but they do free off eventually. i take i the mechanism you describe is the internal release button on the centre console? if you have a 3 button key, does that release the boot?

As Pete in the above post,,plenty of WD40 And something that vibrates like a sander held on the key should free it off,,then you can attend to the boot lock

Thanks Guys. The boot release button on the key will not open it. I'm hoping that the fuse has blown
