20" alloys on E211 ?

just out of curiosity I have been looking at 20" alloys for the e class........ will they actually go on without having to do anywork to the actual body of the car...... they just seem rather BIG! lol Has anyone got 20's on theirs? would be intrested to know. many thanks

Seems doubtful to me. You'll be left with only an inch or two of tyre, if you keep the rolling diameter the same.

I do like the "possibly repairable" in the item description. They are cream crackered!

.....Now they will look nice. Never heard of or seen a E with 20's fitted but my guess is you will be able to fit them providing you keep the Offset correct. I'd guess at a 30 Series tyre profile which is probably near the limit.
I've went from the standard 16's up to 19's on my CLK and all is fine, I did see a CLK on eBay for sale a few weeks back with 20's fitted which I didn't think possible but there you go.
Your tyres will be like rubber bands and apart from getting anyone to mount/remove them which is a right pain your ride will be harder, tramlining will be more apparent and you will suffer more tyre noise although this can be reduced if you choose a quieter running tyre.
Looking at the pictures of the damage they should repair, I've seen wheels like that being repaired from reputable refurbishment companies in my area.

Those wheels are £3k to buy new, sadly they will re appear as mint wheels soon on Ebay
