this vehicle doesn't have the items you mention in the traditional sense, its suspension system called "Active Body Control" or ABC there is a button for ride hieght make sure this has no lights switched on ( set to standard) there is also a button with a picture of a shock absorber on it this is the confort button make sure this also has no lights on if the ride is still a little hard for you try reducing the tyre pressure slightly and do not put low profile tyres on as this will make it worse.
If your still not happy take it to your dealer and ask them to check out the system for faults and code settings. One last thought if the car has done 30,000 miles plus get the supension oil and filter changed
unable to locate abc button or picture of shock on the dash. guess i,m off to the dealership. ;maybe my 2000 sl500 does not have this adjustment. any further info gladly accepted.
The 2000 model year is perhaps still a R129 model and the only adjustability is throught the electronic damper control (EDC), if it has this option fitted.
There is a chance it is one of the last 129's what does your chassis no start with wdb???? (129 or 230) If it is a late 129 it could have standard dampers or ADS (adaptive damping system)
