Hi there new member with I’m sure a common problem.
I moved abroad some years ago and parked my clk320 in an underground garage until I was settled properly, now admittedly it was 2 years ago so I’m not surprised I’m having problems.
It was left with fuel in and I have added more and added fuel cleaner, the battery was showing 12.8 and the car turns over but it just won’t start, I’m not very mechanically minded so now I’m a bit perplexed about what to try next, has anyone got any suggestions that might point me in the right direction.
Thanking abyone who replies or helps in advance.

Welcome buddy , you could try some easy start spray into the air intake . Are you saying after 2 years of sitting the battery was still charged ? Or was it on charge for the 2 years ?

try a little easy, if it runs on that ,check out fuel system, pressure, leaks, injectors powered. no blown fuses ect ,but BE sure its cranking on a really good battery .also check no rodent debris in intake or eaten wires on the" wot changed since you parked it" theory lift of top engine plastic cover and have a good look around BEFORE reaching for the spanners and bank card. good luck..

I unplugged the battery and recharged it up to 12.4 before trying to start it so the battery is fine but I will try the easy start spray you suggested, I can’t smell any petrol after trying to start it I’m wondering if the fuel pump has seized .

Fuel pump seizing after two years sitting is the most likely in my opinion. It's external to the tank, hung under the car behind a plastic shield. Sometimes a whack will start them up again. There is a valve on the end of the fuel rail you can press to check if any pressure is there, but watch yourself.

Uncle Benz thank you, is the pump located through the boot as I think I read somewhere it’s in there somewhere.

Pretty sure it's underneath the car, drivers side with a plastic cover to protect it.

That's him! Best to take the plastic cover down for a look. The silver thing you can see in the picture is actually the filter. The pump is alongside it, slightly thinner and usually blue in colour.

Thank you I will try and see if a few light taps will get it working again.
