2001 E320, avantgarde, petrol, 130k miles DealerFSH

Just need to know if anyone has a E320,petrol, 2001 Avantgarde, auto

I have seen this fully loaded machine, owned by ex bank manager, hence high miles due to motorway driving. Rest of car is immaculate with fulll dealer service history.

Has anyone encountered problems with high miles E320 petrols?
What are the average urban miles per gallon?? Should i invest in my own petrol station?

Im currently also driving a BMW 318i SE but love the toys in this merc.

So please is there any1 out there with some advice or experience ???

I get around 24mpg in mixed driving in my E320. Can't offer you anymore than that really as mine only has 13k miles on the clock.

Around town you'll see mpg in the teens, on a run 29-35 should be achiveable.
As far as mileage is concerned, assuming she's been serviced properly and spent most of the time on the motorway then she should be good for another 100k I would have thought. The gearbox is another matter. It shouldn't be too bad as it shouldn't have done too many changes but there are reports of failures over 100k so I'd have the ATF and filters changed as a precaution.

Clearly it should be a bargain compared to similar aged motors.
