Hi

Just the other day I started the car from cold and it started to idle erratically bouncing up and down did this for a few mins then it's ok for rest of journey
It's done this a few times now from cold start - the other symptom is that fuel economy is well down as is power at top end just seems sluggish.
Assumptions based on posts here at forum:
1. MAF sensor
2. Breather pipe - which one?
3. Cold start idle valve - not sure what or where this is?

Any help will be appreciated - before I go and spend on the on the MAF sensor...

Cheers
A

Get the codes read, as Pathfinder says.

No cold start valve on the 203, there is a breather pipe that can split that goes around the top of the engine, but the maf is the most likely bet.

Just got fault codes read as below:

P0136 - O2 Sensor circuit (Bank 1 Sensor 2 ) - Pending
P0135 - O2 Sensor Heater circuit (Bank 1 Sensor 1) - Pending

would both sensors be on the way out or does one depend on the other?

Now I just went out and checked the old Cam/Magnet/Sensor and its virtually dry so I guess I need to check the plugs of both Sensors to be sure and maybe change one first if its not full with oil?

Cheers
