2002 C180 Auto gearbox problem

I have an 02 c180 auto 42,000 miles, dealer service history. The car jerks when changing from first to second gear - makes no difference hot or cold, rest of changes are all smooth.

As it doesn't have a dipstick I don't know if its a fluid problem - and ideas?

Time to have a look. If you look at the cap carefully, it says Workshop Only. If I were you I will send it to the workshop and get it done. DIY at your peril.

That means it hasn't been done for the last 42K miles. Recommended every three years or 30K miles - refer to maintenance manual. Newer E-class up to 70K miles but it needs done sooner than that, more 40-50K miles.
