Hi
My newly purchased c270 2002 avantgarde has the replace brakes message on and the disks look quite worn as well. I knew this when i bought it and priced accordingly. Can anyone recommend the best pad/disk makes for this? Or what to avoid. I imagine they are fairly simple to replace but is there anything i need to look out for? Thanks...will

For standard breaks go to local motor factors as I did for my 3ltr CLK, just make sure the are a make you recognise. Parts were in stock, same C class 4 door.

I got mine from ECP, have Pagid disks and pads on the front and Brembo pads on the rear.

Either make will do and if you use code FEB70 you will get a massive discount

Malcolm always used to recommend EBC though personally I wouldn't touch them.
Brembo, Pagid are both good brands if somewhat dusty (black brake dust on wheels).
