Hello, not sure if this is related to the clutch. My vito would judder when i release the first gear when the engine is cold. It gets worst when the a/c is on. Problem go away after some driving.Mechanic told me clutch was fine, Couldn't figure out what went wrong because it becomes ok each time i got there.

would appreciate any opinion, thank you

regards, Suzanne treston

any experience ive had with dual mass flywheels ive never heard of the judder going away when warm. this may be due to a different set up as the ones ive come across have been vw's. personally i dont see the point of the dual mass flywheel. in fact theres a company makes a conversion kit for vw's that means you can bin the dual mass flywheel and put an ordinary one on. this still works out cheaper than a new dual mass flywheel! they are a huge problem on vw's though

Umm, I've been looking at the VW sites as well while researching the DMF issues, I've found a couple of reasonable quotes for the single mass (MUCH cheaper than replacing the DMF etc), but am still concerned about the vibration, anyone know or found info about SMF issues on pre DMF vehicles?
(like components breaking under the additional stresses)
