2002 SL500 Roof Problems

Please help. I have an SL500 June 2002. The roof squeaks when even I go over bumps on B roads. Merc Beconsfield half fixed it by putting cork washers in it 6 months ago. The squeaks are back, I am going mad with it. Does anyone out there know a GOOD dealer who can fix my car?

Hi Michael. Welcome to the forum.

If you grease rubber parts (where roof meets chassis) with petrolium jelly, it should solve the problem.

Molycot or molecot is the stuff....mind you, it aint cheap...and no i dont appear to know where you can buy it.. it seems to fall into my bag during my trip home...

maybes some goolgeling needs to be done.
