As per title I'm considering taking out the Audio 10 unit and replacing it with something that will work with my iphone5.
(I only add the 5 bit for plug identification)
I want to retain the steering wheel controls as much as possible but as long as long as the unit has a display I wouldn't need the dash display.
I've been looking at a few Kenwood units as I don't want any bling.
I like the stock look but the Audio 10 is past it
I have also considered a Parrot Asteriod but have seen too much negative feedback.

My questions are

Is there anything reasonable that will just plug in?

I've looked for harness adapters but can't seem to find anything for a 2002 W210. Do I need one.

On other forums they mention adapters from the States to retain steering wheel controls. Do I have any UK options?

Please keep the answers simple-ish as I don't understand a lot about ICE

Ta very much

Hi Naraic

I can find some which are the same as from the USA but I was hoping we might have something home grown just in case of problems

Also would it be difficult to change from single din to double din?

Yes...the wood, which is expensive...is no longer available unless you get lucky on Ebay.
