Hello all

I was previously registered on here when I had a mint C43AMG.

I went away for a while whilst I was playing with some other toys  but now I am back.

I recently bought a 2003 E55 AMG with 50,000 Miles on it and in excellent excellent nick.

Just had a service done and it came out spotless, although needs pads and discs soon, but just wondered if there's anything I should be on the look out for I'd love to here the experts on the forums thoughts.

Many thanks, Alex.

Welcome and a good choice of car, it's the top of the tree. You'll need to dig deep for the brakes though they are heavy on brake wear and disk disortion.

What extras do you have if any?

Thanks Dave. I expected it to be quite saucy on brakes. I don't know what's standard spec on them and what's not, so it's hard to know what's 'extra'.

Options wise I am still getting through learning them. I have power everything (windows, mirrors, seats etc) . Pioneer TV/DVD/Ipod/CD/Sat Nav/soundsytsem. Heated and cooled seats with about 4000 different airconfigurations as well as pulsing/massaging option - oooer! Also does that hold-on-to-you think when cornering hard. Also have the heated stuff in the back too. Have 4way climate-zone thing (which i think is standard).

Then have a load of buttons that adust suspension settings (and one for ride height) and the tip-tronic type gear option.
