Hi everyone
First post here - hoping to purchase an S320 very soon!
Would really appreciate some advice. I went to see a 2004 s320 cdi today. I havn't driven one before so am not sure what "normal" is. However this example seemed quite noisy in the cabin. I also noted that when I switched the car off there was quite a large jolt.
When looking at the engine I noticed that part of it was vibrating quite a bit. Again I am not sure if this is normal. I have taken a video and would really appreciate any advice (e.g. whether this is a quick fix or something more serious). The car has done around 100,000 miles. Its last service was in 2012 at around 88000 miles. MOT history is unremarkable.
How noisy is the s320 inside when driving? I am used to petrol engines, and these are usually pretty silent in similar cars.
The car was otherwise in pretty good condition, and everything seemed to be working other than the parking sensors and weak heated seats.
