2005 cdi failure to start

Our 2005 320 cdi would not start , it turned over a couple of times then failed to turn starter. I was out of town so when got home the next day the car started right up , drove it a bit then parked it . That evening it failed to start again! Lights are strong dash shows all lights but check engine light came on . Car does not turn over at all. Talked to dealership they have no idea but do not think it is the ecu fan that was causing blown 10 amp fuse in the 210 320 cdi that I found on this forum , they said it is totally different car , they told me to jump it off to see if battery is weak , Any ideas ?
