Can anyone help?
I have a 2006 A 180 and need to fit a serpentine belt.
Can this be done without dropping the engine?
Thank you for any help you may have.

It is a 2 ltr diesel the belt is situated behind the wheel arch with no access from above.
I can't find a workshop manual for this model anywhere.

another thing, if yr going in there suggest you change all pulleys you can tensioner idler wise there is,i think 1 on an assly ?that aint coming out without lowering engine.assly down. its a few yr ago and i skipped that. also try to inspect the crank pulley there is a metalastic damper built in ,on 170 anyway, that suffers from de laminating and then giving you a huge headache , i have one, but to date i did,nt need to change it ..yet!

just seen yrs, yup access is from under d/s covers have to come off i did mine on my back with wood blocks under car , no fun at all if yrs the same . looks very similar to me.

Perhaps it's best to drop the engine after all.

Thank you for your input.
