I've just bought a 2006 C200 CDI Avantgarde with some odd faults.

The revs are uneven, its terrible to drive when cold causing choppy changes.

The Heater is either red hot or freezing cold...nothing in between.

Its been on a STAR reader with no faults other than....

"Check N33/2 (Heater booster control module) Positioner signals fault.

Theres no setting in computer for this so I dont think its got one....HELP!

Confused
Phil

Does run better when warm but revs still undulate even when cruising at 2500 revs

Hi, I have something similar to you Derek. I just read that we have two solutions. One is that we can just disconnect this heater booster. Or another one - change it by correct device (serial no - A000 159 15 04).

I found out in some fb groups that when heater booster has failed, it is revealed as vibrating hand of rev-counter

When I solve this problem I will notify you. I attach screen of error

Unfortunately not. I just bought used heater booster (A000 159 15 04) from a guy from FB group. I will change it before winter.
