2007 280 SLK subframe corrosion

Hi I’m new to the group
my 280 has today failed its MOT for corroded subframe Has anyone succeeded in persuading MB to replace under warranty ?
Also suggestions for sourcing a replacement in UK would be appreciated

There are some long threads on it buddy , yes some have been replaced under warranty by MB .
If you search “subframe” in the search box there are pages on it to read .

Yes, had mine replaced last year - check out posts by Dave Evan’s on the SLK Owners on FaceBook - he has some great emails and guidance to help of MB are pushing back

Good news ! MB have agreed to replace the subframe at their cost . As other members have pointed out they will not pay for bolts or arms which are corroded on . The dealer’s mechanic has confirmed this does sometimes happen but they “ will try their best “ to free them up . I can live with that .
The parts are on back order - probably because they are replacing so many ..
Great service from the dealer who is garaging the car until repaired.
