Hi I've just got my sl the sat nav works OK but there is no disc in the unit in the boot is would like to find out what it's current update is does anyone know how please cheers Richard
It has a box in the drivers pack which SAYS NAVTEQ COMMAND APS 2007

Version 19, which I am pretty sure is up to 2019. Do not think there will be further updates

I decided that a decent mobile 'phone, properly mounted, using both Waze & Google maps is infinitely better than the built in SatNav in both my R230 and my Discovery 4.

Hi found satnav in boot has been disconnected suspect unit faulty it's the original one from 2007 so now looking for replacement 7042 unit

Updating the built in satnav after 13 years..... impossible? Or just expensive?

Thanks folks, I've spoken to Comand online, they say it only needs one disc and if I quote the VIN they can supply it. I do wonder if I'm better off just putting a decent satnav onto my phone though - it's not cheap from them and I'm wary of dodgy discs on eBay.....
