I have a 2008 GL450. The rear entertainment system (DVD) won't play new DVD's only older ones. I think this is a bit strange based on the age of the vehicle. I purchased a new DVD yesterday from Target and put it in to play and got the "Invalid Disc" prompt. After searching around on line I saw that this seems to be a common problem. Something about the "firmware" of the DVD can only play older DVD's? How do I update this firmware so I can actually use this system or is it now a useless part on an otherwise expensive vehicle (a bit embarrassing....I drive a Mercedes but sorry the DVD doesn't work!).
