hi,

does anyone know where i can go or what i can look at for an aftermarket sat nav, something that wont take to much alteration

By far the least expensive and least hassle option is to buy Sygic/TomTom and a vent clip for your phone.

Alpine used to do one that fitted in the space occupied by the COMMAND screen. I think Mic installed such a device in his R230.

You can still get recent maps for 2009 NTG2 Comand. I paid less than £50 (then sold the car....)

Android units vary from cheap / nasty / hot Chinese units to some of the pricier ones that COL recommend.

I believe it is pretty much a pro install to retain all controls and functionality Inc BT calls (and add in BT audio etc) unless you are really handy.

One of the COL chaps will no doubt comment soon.
Your existing unit does hold some resale value aswell....
