Sealey Brand - I've both these sets and some of their blue ones as well. You cna put some quite serious force into them and not damage trim. They're also great at popping out the hidden clips and plastic rivets without damaging them.

Can you remove the ashtray to get access. I copied this from details for a W203 so may be different:
“You just remove the lower ashtray, and there are 2 plastic catch lugs, on each side push them in hard with a screwdriver and pull a little up and the back portion comes away, you can then remove the vent assembly.”

Yeah the ashtray comes out easy, I read that thread to, but I thing it’s a different set up as inside the ashtray housing is flush with no lugs or anything, just a small edge at the top for the ashtray retaining clip to clip in to.

Funny as I just ordered these exact ones with two prying tools!! Thank you buddy, I just don’t want to break the trim I’m trying to remove, it’s a fine line as you know between removing something and destroying something

.
Yes, excellent decision to get a proper trim removal set - no matter how careful you might be with a screwdriver, it will leave a mark on plastic parts.

I have seen tape put on the tips of the screwdriver.
One other thing I was thinking of :
With the current cold climate in mind, do anything you can do to warm the trim. Plastic tends to crack when cold.
Oh yes, one more. I doubt if it has ever been removed before. So apply any liquid you want to, that should help ease it out.
