Hi my SLK has failed its MOT with a cracked front coil spring and only the on side headlamp moves when the switch is used. Is the system run on vacuum? Because it's the light the same side as the broken coil Spring if it is vacuum run then it could be possible a pipe has come off? Any ideas anyone?

Not sure what system you have but my E class with Halogens has a level sensor on the front right spring and one over the rear diff . If it’s not the same system as mine I’m out of ideas

Hi wighty thanks for replying, it's not a self levelling system it's the switch just under the main light switch, it's just there and it only has 2 settings, I really don't know why it's there as it's a convertible and it's not gonna have heavy passengers in the rear seats it dosnt have.

I think it’s a motorised system. It gives a little more range if you’ve an empty boot. That’s about it
