2012 E350 CDI Convertable Front Strut Removal.

I am trying to remove the front struts so I can replace a broken spring. I have removed the three fixings at the bottom of the strut no problem, however after removing the three E12 top bolts the strut will not drop something is still holding it up. What am I missing here?

Is the spring still under pressure? Be careful - make sure spring is fully and safely compressed.
