2012 E350 CDI dpf cleaning

Anyone have experience doing this yourself ? I’ve seen videos of people squirting dpf cleaner into the pipe where the pressure sensor plugs in , anyone done this ? Do you need some kind of gun to squirt the liquid in ?

Seriously don't waste your time until you know the dpf sensor is working or not , it sends false information to the ECU that the dpf is blocked , when infact it's the pressure sensor that's no good.

What’s the cheapest and easiest way I can check the sensor ? Is there a device that’s cheap that I can buy ? Don’t wanna waste money paying someone just for a 2 minute job..

The proper way of testing any differential or absolute exhaust pressure sensor is with something like a MityVac, a pressure source.

The mityvac isn't cheap but there are cheaper alternatives.

With such a device you can compare the pressure reading on the diag tool against the gauge at several points.

Bosch 0 281 006 278 Air Manifold Pressure/MAP Sensor on Amazon - £33.
Very easy to change - takes around 20mins.

Yeah was thinking about this , want to get a scanner first and check it first though as someone mentioned previously .. would be good if I could find someone nearby who has a scanner to check the sensor
