Anyone have experience doing this yourself ? I’ve seen videos of people squirting dpf cleaner into the pipe where the pressure sensor plugs in , anyone done this ? Do you need some kind of gun to squirt the liquid in ?
What’s the cheapest and easiest way I can check the sensor ? Is there a device that’s cheap that I can buy ? Don’t wanna waste money paying someone just for a 2 minute job..Seriously don't waste your time until you know the dpf sensor is working or not , it sends false information to the ECU that the dpf is blocked , when infact it's the pressure sensor that's no good.
See the pic I attached of the fault codesDPF will clean themselves provided the sensors are working.
What makes you inclined to clean it?
Where would that be then?See the pic I attached of the fault codes
Sorry it was on another thread here you goWhere would that be then?
The proper way of testing any differential or absolute exhaust pressure sensor is with something like a MityVac, a pressure source. What’s the cheapest and easiest way I can check the sensor ? Can you help me where I can find them ?Icarsoft mb2 . Used ones on the mb forums are around £80 . Or ask on here if anyone's local to you who has a one .
Ah ok I saw that spares section but didn’t look , thans!
What about the v 1.0 ? Would that not work ?
Yeah was thinking about this , want to get a scanner first and check it first though as someone mentioned previously .. would be good if I could find someone nearby who has a scanner to check the sensoryou can always swap out the sensor and see if it works - I did mine last year got a bosch one for around £30 from Amazon, car been fine since.
Bosch 0 281 006 278 Air Manifold Pressure/MAP Sensor on Amazon - £33.
Very easy to change - takes around 20mins.
