Hi folks,
60K service arranged.
Apart from engine oil, filters etc, do I need to change the fuel filter?
Bosch unit is about £80 or 'Crossland' for £28 both from Europarts. (Is there a huge difference in the quality/performance?)

I'm currently doing about 5/7000 miles a year.

The 3 litre diesel V6 is superb, by the way!

I’d go with the cheaper Crossland Filter and change it more regularly. You can change 3 times and still be under price of Mann or Bosch one. Your car is 11 yrs old so probably out of any warranty, so save your money for fuel and car tax.

Be careful of cheap fuel filters , they usually come without the heater , and swapping them over is nigh on impossible as it's bonded in. If your turbo pipe has the extra bit welded on it , changing the fuel filter is a pita ,so opt for a decent make , you don't want to be changing it any more than you have to . 60,000 miles or 4/5 years . Have a look on partsinmotion for a fuel filter ( Bosch) or eBay , get the mann part number and search eBay , can be had for £30 and are OEM . I think your air filters will be the older flat panel types , left is different from the right . Possibly the new style as mentioned. ?

MANN WK820/14 Fuel Filter

Try the website and use save5 code , maybe cheaper ??

Thank you very much, for all your replies folks.
I'll go with the OEM, probably Bosch. "The Best, or Nothing", eh?:)

Mann is OEM , not Bosch . You won't go wrong with the Bosch though.

You won't go wrong with the Bosch though.

I'm not so sure these days. I junked a Bosch distributor cap that was cracking after 9 months. Rreplaced it with an MB cap (also Bosch) and all's well 3 years later.

We always get out oil/fuel filters from MB. Usually with our 20% discount. Worth asking MB.
