Hi MB community,

I purchased an e200 in Feb 2022 with 22k miles on the clock (2013 plate). It now has 33k miles so still pretty low. I would love for it to be a bit more powerful and was wondering mapping it. I am however worried about potential engine issues as its a pretty basic engine from factory. Any advice on whether its worth it, what the risks are and any recommendations for companies in and around North West London/Bucks/Herts?

Thank you!

Why not talk to GAD Tuning who sponsor this thread - go to forum home page and click on their advert for this section. Their bespoke service is a safer option than an off the shelf map. Popular with MB owners

@alexanderfoti can probably advise as well.

I’d be tempted to leave alone and search for a V6 petrol

The only reason I am reluctant to do a swap for a v6 is because I don't think I will ever find something with such low mileage!

Cars wear out regardless of mileage…

I would only say, if you end up getting a map, please, only get one from someone reputable and recommended from here and avoid the fly by night mapping companies and eBay software etc for £200. A remap can be done well as well as very badly.

As for mileage you just have to be patient. Furthermore, a well looked after car is better than a low mileage car. Despite my w221 being legit 49k when I bought it, with a full history, it’s just OK compared to my 2000 Volvo with circa 185k….
