Hi all
After 2 weeks I have a niggle I can't resolve despite trying to read the 400 page owners manual!!
Can you increase the volume of the parking sensor beeps?
Thanks all

As the beeps mean 'you're inches away from damage' I tend to use the lights only. Have you tried pressing the volume up button when its beeping to see if that works (it might not even be possible) as the single volume button/roller affects all other audio elements, media, announcements, other beeps only when the sounds are playing.

The beeper for this is a fixed beeper, you could change it for a louder one or a siren.

Maybe one that says "Caution Vehicle reversing" at the same time ;)

or a pair of hands that slap you around the face;-)

I must admit as well that coming from an Insignia where the beeps were deafening, I am taking a little more time to acclimatize to the softer beeps of the Merc...

Look in your RVM, you will see the rear PTS display in the roof lining to the rear.

Yes, The car is a C220 Sport Premium with Cameras.

Sorry, not up on the current specs so though the camera was an optional extra (good option to have though), as for your problem, I'm pretty sure there isn't a way to increase the volume of the beeps saying that though i find mine more than adiquate, maybe your speaker has failed or is failing making it quieter then it normally is. Pop into a dealer and see if you can sit in another car (W/S205) and see if its the same, if it is then you may just have to live with it if not then you can tell them to get it sorted :)

If this is a real problem the little warning device could be changed.

They are often just screwed to the rear of the cluster.

I do have some very loud ones, maybe too loud for in the car.

From the owner's manual

"The warning displays show the distance between the sensors and the obstacle. The warning display for the front area is in the instrument cluster. The warning display for the rear area is located on the roof lining in the rear compartment."

As a complete guess you could try turning up the Volume on the audio as the warning tones sound.. I doubt it will work though as I'm sure it's been mentioned before. It may also be possible to change to tone level via Xentry. The dealership should be able to advise

On all my cars the bleeper is built into the rear display, and front for the front one. There has never been any menu for changing this in any car that I know. whether there is any adjustment for the bleeper on STAR I do not know.

Can be increased on Star - it defaults to 80%, so it can be increased by 25%.
