2016 c350e e-mode

Hi all, apologies if its wrong thread or asked before.. I bought a 2016 c350e 2 weeks ago, all brilliant until today. Always it starts in e-mode but today its starts in petrol and refuses to go in electric and there is a loud fan noise coming from under the bonnet. Any ideas please?

May well consider it but want to eliminate a minor issue... being hopeful.

Apparently auxiliary battery in boot is old and needs replacing which may fix the "e-mode" issue but why is the fan on in full pelt?

Have managed to get a booking in with Mercedes tomorrow, would be good if I could get some heads up on my issues from the group beforehand please?
