I hung on and hung on and eventually got my 205 estate, looks identical to the one your thread is about (bar the wheels) but bought it from a Merc' dealer in Edinburgh. 2 brand new Michelin's on the rear, just serviced with full digital service report, 49K miles, 4MATIC for £19,950. The peace of mind attached to the warranty has me going back to the approved market all the time. Also, just had the main battery replaced under warranty (start stop malfunction was the initial symptom). Good luck with your search...

I've just paid 245£ for 6 months though. It's based on price when new in July 2017 in my case. Mine had a list around 44k it seems...so that's 490 ish a year for the next couple years...

Just realised we are saying the same thing, I just omitted the 40k from my previous post...my fault.

Yes I’ve found a C220d premium at a merc dealer. It’s got full merc service history, 78k, In excellent condition, 2016. It’s up for £18980. Don’t think ill find many better atm, especially with the service history and condition. 12 month warranty and full 12 month mot too. Just been serviced not long ago as well. I agree with buying from merc dealer used. I went and seen one after at a Vauxhall dealer that must of been a trade in and it was in poor condition. Overall experience so far is that independent dealers will get nice cars with maybe less miles but the service history isn’t substantial. I’d rather have the extra miles with the service history.

^ All the examples I posted in the link on Page 1 have far less miles.

Hi, I asked about this when I bought mine and also a diff oil change as I have the 4matic version, the diff oil change is only for the high performance variants from what I can gather & below is the response I received from the sales office following my query. This for the 9g automatic.

I have had the service department look at this and there response is:
Transmission is 5 years / 62,000 Miles.

No diff oil change required (only for locking diffs with option 471 or 467)

Hope it helps...

Not sure if the car the OP is looking at is 9g or 7g+, either way at 78K it should have been done.

What do you mean by OP, over priced? I’ve asked the question regarding the gearbox oil. It’s had 7 services with Merc so I’d assume it’s been done but going to get back to me.

It’s also the 7+.

This is the car if you want to take a look.

Looks clean. Shame you can't squeeze a 2017 MY as the 9g is a peach imo.

However, looks tidy.

Agreed and apologies if my post came across as critical, was purely for info'

I haven’t drove this yet and I obviously will before I do the deal. But I won’t have anything to compare it to. As in 7g / 9g.

It’s fine just getting use to the abbreviations on the forum. Yeah I’m just nervous as never owned a merc before it’s a 30th birthday present to myself haha

The 9g gearbox is much better than the 7+g and certainly worth waiting for

I’ve bought the car, all going well I pick it from Mercedes on Saturday. Thanks everyone for your help and guidance. I was thinking of doing the merc service plan or if anyone knows any good independent Mercedes specialist in the north east that would be appreciated.
