2017 e class drivers window fault

the auto up switch does not put the window up automatically you have to hold the switch and when it does get to the top it comes halfway back down again any help would be much appreciated.

I'm new here too but could be the window regulator. But before you go down that route. Remove the door card and get the WD40 out. That worked on my old c class

im not sure what it is tbh, i will have to get someone to have a look at it i think.
its not making any strange noises that you sometimes get with a regulator

Try a window reset. Wind the window all the way down and keeping the button depressed for a five seconds afterwards. Do the same all the way up and again hold the button up for five. That might work as the system sometimes gets confused particularly if the battery has run low.

Solved the problem by spraying some silicone spray into the rubber at the top of the door and very gently lifting the switch up and holing it up whilst glasss is fully closed and it re sets the sensors.
All good now.
