I have an E320 (ch.no:210 265 2A ******) that has been laid up a while.
Car had a flat battery so have charged it up.
The fault that the car has which it didn't have before it was parked up is that the 'keyless' ignition no longer works, nor does the central locking (not even with the metal back up key). The ign sometimes works with the chauffers key & the car starts & runs fine with no warning lamps etc, but this is probably only 3 or 4 times in ten.
My thoughts are that I may have to replace the battery as it is a bit lazy, but are these systems that sensitive to battery voltage.Or is this fault in some way tied in with the central locking fault?
I need to sort this as the car is sold to a local painter on the condition that it has an MOT.
