I have two 210 E classes & wash them fairly frequently. After washing & possibly driving the cars in the rain. I notice they drip water for several hours from the engine/trans under trays. It seems water collects there & doesn’t drain very well. Possibly contributing to cross members rusting. I think to stop the water getting there would be difficult, but maybe some modification to help drain the water quicker would be of some help. I did read about someone fitting spacers between under tray & the cross member. Has anyone carried out any modifications to help the under trays drain in any way.
Thanks in advance for any info/replies.

With the under trays off and a few good sprays with Waxoil, then re fitting the tray with spacers must be a move for the best
