215 rear light seal

Mine is leaking on passenger side , can a new seal be bought or shall i just get some neoprene sheet and cut a new one or ??

You’d need a big sheet to cut a new gasket!

Can you carefully remove the gasket & thin bead of Silicone sealant around it on both sides, bridge any gaps/tears/flat bits?

electricians tape hates wet. Kind of makes sense as water and electricity isnt a good mix.


Call you dealers and ask about the seal. Do it once and do it right I say - new seal all the way.

The original seal has a break in it which i assume used to be joined , the seal isnt actually that big so ive order a piece of neoprene online so i can cut a completely new one , will update with pics

Got the neoprene today so sorted the seal out , as you can see the old one was shot

Ok alex , nice to know theres an option it seemed to seal ok , ive left the cover out so i can inspect it when the next it rains
