219 CLS Front Lower Arms/Ball Joints - replacement help?

At least they can be changed separately. On the 209/203 the control arms have to be changed which of course throws the alignment out £££

Even worse when you foolishly entrust the MOT garage to do it, they fit a cheap part which creaks, 2 LCA & alignments’s later the ball joint is fixed… been there, done that

I would rather these were just complete arms with all the bits on them to make it all a bolt off/on job.

I was stunned to see the true condition of the old parts and how badly the rubbers were split and the internal condition of the joints. Both rear springs were cracked, not one. It also looked like the MOT place previously when doing the job partially damaged the ball joint they fitted on one side.

Eibach replacement line rear springs part number R10325 have the car sitting very healthy again, it also looked great (healthy) as I followed it on the motorway.

TWR were highly complimentary of the car and how it drives as they are used to seeing this era of MB being rusty underneath but, all is very clean and rust free including the brake pipes.

I’m going to get some acf50 on the new bits over the weekend
