Hi,
Have just had new spring fitted (other broken) as well as new ball joints yet still have a clonking/creaking sound (quite loud) in front offside. Makes noise on turning left or right even slightly when moving.
Garage that fitted the ball joints said it is all tight and they can't find anything obviously wrong. It has also just passed MOT. Any ideas or should I just bite the bullet and check in to local MB dealer!!!!!
Seem to be spending loads on this car and not enjoying it.

A local indie is more likely to know the answer than the main dealer, they won't see many 124s now and will be confused when they can't plug a computer in to find out what the problem is. They would probably pass on the work to someone else anyway.

Thanks everyone, fitting the bushes doesn't seem such a difficult job.
Does anyone know of a good indie garage in the Bath area as I need more than this doing. I had a terrible experience at a recommended garage in Bristol - not sure if I should mention it though.
Hope to hear soon.
Dave
