230 ce coupe Engine rev up .

Hi,
Can anyone help, I own a MB 230 CE (124 series) on a K plate, I recently had the Engine Mass Sensor replaced and it's still revving up especially when the car has probably run for a few miles, it starts fine alright in the mornings but after a while it just revvs up without notice and then goes back to decent idle speed, what can be the problem? :???: I have also noticed that it guzzles more petrol than normal

Check the idle micro switch on the throttle linkage. I had a similar problem with my 300CE. Check my posting Intermitant erratic idling. It may help you.
