230 CE - wots it worth?

Just returned from France where friend has right hooker 230CE (1984) in good condition, full history, 166K, light gold colour with cloth interior. Just wondered if anyone can put a value on it??

The value depends entirely on spec and condition. the 123 CE's can regulary be found on ebay for less than a grand but if its an absolute mint fully loaded example in the right colour, it could be considered to be collectable and sometimes they go for as much as 5-6K.

Being that this one is a small 230, with cloth rather than leather then I would hazzard a guess that its value is not very great. Its hard to tell without any visual reference.

I sold my very near mint 230CE last year for £2000 private. It was advertised just the once at £2250 and the first person who phoned bought it. Mind you only one other person phoned!
When I was trying to trade it in however nobody was interested. On used cars around £8,000 I was being offered around £1,000 and on new cars I was offered £800 against a MB A140 and Skoda Fabia TDi , £650 on a Audi A2 and a laughable £150 at a smart car centre on the Pulse.
