230SL Gearbox needed +other Q's

Hello everyone,
   I have a '64 230SL 4-sp manual and the gearbox is very noisey in 3rd +4th whilst on a trailing throttle or coming down the gears.
  I'm wondering if it's possible to fit a 5 speed box from a later Merc, or even an auto if thats possible? Does anyone know if I can use parts from say a W123 or S-class?

Also in general where is the best place to get parts for these cars, I have quite a few items that I need to get now, especially door/window rubber seals ?

The gearbox is more urgent though. If anyone can help then please let me know !
