Hello,
I am looking to buy a replacement electric aerial for my 1991 estate.
The unit in place is marked 'Harada' and I think is an after market item. This also seems to be bourne out by the wiring, with a feed from the radio, and a feed from the rear interior light wiring (off side).
Is there a better way to wire the aerial than this, because I have had no end of trouble with the interior lights?
I am told that the stereos were dealer fitted in those days so there is no record of what was on the vehicle when new. Possibly the wiring loom was not originally intended to carry a power aerial??
Anyway, MB priced a replacement at £100, whilst GFS said £40. I might also be able to get away with replacing the antenna only.
Can anybody advise on the best aerial/antenna at a reasonable price and on any wiring tips?
Thanking you.
