Mercedes e220 w211 - Anyone know what would be causing this error - p2373 Adjustment of injector injection quantities 600bar permanent

The car drives and runs ok, I was thinking injector quantities control valve maybe?

Just plugged it in and got the data below, does the figures look OK? Looks like I've came across under rail pressure control it flicking from: Fuel delivery control valve to Value faulty, Could this be the y94 Fuel quantity control valve ? Or y74 pressure control valve?

I'm guessing the injector correction value at the 600bar point has reached its max.

On the Bosch system there are 3 corrections per cylinder, not sure if the same on the Delphi.

You won't see anything on that the rail pressure data. You should be able to see the corrections with the diag tool. I expect the unit of the correction to be us (microseconds).

The max there of 39us is not a lot. That can't be hitting a limit.
That would make me question that fault description even more. The fact it doesn't call out a specific cylinder number and the data shows reasonable values, I would want it to see what Xentry description was.

Maybe it need to go onto xentry. My train of thort was y94 Fuel quantity control valve Or y74 pressure control valve but I've seen mention fuel temp sensor, what's everyone's fuel temperature sensor read when car is up to temp?

Think my fuel pressure looks low
Already done a leak off test on the injectors

270bar, may be when cold or a high idle. 230bar sounds more normal.
You should be able to see the setpoint, maybe the Delphi tool doesn't support this. Anyway, if rail pressure wasn't meeting setpoint, you'd get an error.

Just had my car on the autologic machine, injectors appear in range, did a learn on the 250bar and the 600bar range, temp sensor ok, fuel quantity control valve and pressure control valve in range so still no further - he has raised it with autologic to see what they come back with

Still no luck with sorting it, Just put it on xentry passthru, fault comes up, Need to run a quick teach on the 600 bar adaptions but to run it the coolant needs to be above 80 degrees, only can get it to 75.6 degrees, any ideas? Could it be my coolant sensor faulty, What's other people's temp run at?

Was on xentry today, still clutching at straws, don't know what to do next, when troubleshooting in xentry it say has control unit or speedometer been replaced - selected no, - do injector adaption codes and 600bar bar injector adaptions - both done no change, car has developed a knock on idle but dissapears when revved in the last week, Checked knock sensor, done compression texst all is reading OK, fuel temp sensor was mentioned in the other forums, any other ideas?

I have had issues with the engine coolant temperature sensor in my Vito ( engine OM646), and had to fit a new sensor.
You mentioned yours recording 75.6 C. at normal running temperature. I checked the new sensor for temperature and before starting it was 8 C. cold morning start. So took it out for a test drive and stopped after two miles to check the temperature graph and it had reached 48 C. so drove back home and after the four miles, the graph was a constant 65 C. With yours at 75 C. it could be reading a little high. So it would be interesting to know what your temperature sensor was reading before starting?
I also had a rough idle and the roughness cleared once the revs kicked in. Now I have fitted the sensor, no more rough idle.

Are u talking about the coolant sensor or the fuel temperature sensor? Will check them both tomorrow when cold though

The engine coolant temperature sensor.
I have a primitive Vito and Mercedes in their wisdom omitted to install a temperate gauge on the dash, so I check the temperature using a Launch X431 Pro scanner....a very expensive temperature gauge....

Will check tomorrow, i'm also going to look at the knock sensor wiring, although it's reading in xentry, there has been quite a few wiring been nibbled in Germany by stone martin, strangly enough issue occurred on the way back from Germany, is knock sensor under the egr?

Finally had a breakthrough, was on xentry today and decided to run a smooth engine running after someone else on another forum said that's how he determines knackered injectors, one pic is on idle and one at around 2500 rpm, notice cylinder 4 is 67.00 us, apparently +68 is max. Would you agree its injector 4 causing the knock on idle and possibly the error? Also does anyone know what's the max minus figure u can have? Also what do these figures mean, eg injector leakoff, injector dribbling?
