280 Sl W129 Dash Electrics

A vehicle that i am thinking of buying from a friend has the following problem;

all waring lamps light up as normal on swithing ignition on , but none of the gauges work, the engine starts and runs but none of the gauges including the speedo.
We have been advised it not uncommon for the PCB on the speedo to give problems.
Anyone shed any light on this , anyone got one spare

Yes the tracks can go open circuit, but they are easy to fix

do you know of any companies who repair, or is it just tracking with a multi meter
