300 sl 24 transmission oil top up

Hi,

I have a 300 sl 24 and need to top up the transmission oil, can anyone tell me where I can access the filler 'cap'.

Its towards the rear on the left looking at the engine from the front

Hi,Yes dip stick is where malcom said,But how do you know it wants topping up, if you dont know where the dip stick is.Drive the car for about 5 miles so g/box reaches engine temperature, park on level service with car still running in P and check g/box dip stick ,do not over fill, if it needs topping up use only M.B. auto oil
