300ce 24 v gearbox

Hello Merfriends,

My car looks good has a great motor, but the box is a problem.

I have whittled down the electrics are the problem.....

The mechanic (in Spain) has got my unworking 5th gear working now and so I can merrily cruise down the poholed motorway here.

Problem is he has "lost" third along the way so the kick down works ok but if I accelerate not so agressively, the car bobs along in 4th or 5th with a performance to match!!
In other words, no acceleration between "rocket" or "hearse".

Any ideas please as to what to do next?

Fill up with Gas ;-)

It's not that expensive to get it sorted, but do it now before it gets very expensive.
